Mountain’s Edge Master Planned Community, in the southwest corridor of Las Vegas, ranked number one in home sales in the state and third in the country for Master Planned Communities in 2006, according to an independent real estate advisory firm. The community is home to 16 builders, 4,700 homes having sold since the development’s inception. There are 45 neighborhoods, 200 floor plans and pricing from the mid $300,000’s. Mountain’s Edge features a unique 80-acre Exploration Park, which will contain an amphitheatre, picnic areas, volleyball courts, bocce ball area and trail head leading to the trail system on Exploration Peak. Its Western theme park is unique and was designed to encourage an outdoor lifestyle, according to the Focus Group, developer of Mountain’s Edge. Summerlin continues to grow, with only 7,500 more acres to develop. Suimmerlin has been the most popular Master Planned Community in the country for several years, and its 22,500 acres of development is well ahead of its original schedule. The most recent addition to Suimmerlin is the Mesa Village, which is the southernmost village, will consist of more than 500 homes with a desert contemporary architectural style. The Summerlin community is home to more than 100 village parks, 120 miles of the Summerlin Trail System, new schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical facilities, cultural facilities and restaurants.Â
